Hello-- I am a new user of bentonite. I bought a bottle of milky white mix and and 1 tablespoon to about 8 ounces of water, yesterday, for my first test. I did not notice any results so far. I then learned from this site that taking bentonite with high blood pressure may not be a good idea. However, I believe part of my problem with high blood pressure may be caused by impurities in my digestive system. Today, I took just a teaspoon of the mix with 6 to 8 ounces of water.
Does anybody know more about the connection between clay and high blood pressure?
One more question: We are warned not to let the clay come in contact with metal. I used ordinary metal spoons to measure out the bentonite. Should I use plastic only?
Thanks for info. |

Hi George:
Any increase in blood pressure, at least from my experience, is a temporary occurence. If you BP is not critical, I don't see a need to worry; just pay attention.
When possible, avoid using metal with clay.
Momentary contact with metal, especially with dry clay, is not a true problem, but why use metal when it is easy to avoid?
I recommend taking a look at our new 'digestive' article in our "Using Clay Archives" section, available from the Top Nav Menu under Clay Articles/Archives/
