|
|
I have been reading a lot about hydrating Bentonite clay, but why is this required? If you mix it and psyllium into a glass of water, stir it up and drink it, the Bentonite and psyllium will absorb much of the water you just drank.
I drink a the Psyllium and bentonite combo with an 8 oz glass of water, and then I drink another 12 oz of water when finished. I feel a bit bloated fro drinking so much water for about 30 minutes, but after that I feel great (other than having to pee a lot.)
I do 4 of these drinks per day, an hour before or after a meal, often times back to back, and then I REALLY hit the bathroom to go #2 without issues.
I am passing lots of mucoid plaque.
So why all the fuss about hydrating the clay? Is there any evidence that hydrating it makes a huge difference over not hydrating it?
And how much actual dry bentoite powder is in a tablespoon of hydrated bentonite from a product like Great Plains? I've always been curious about this.
I hope somebody can answer all of these questions. |

I have been doing the same thing 2x daily for a week or two with great results.... Today I tried setting up the tsp of clay in 8oz water for 8hrs and will post back if there is any noticeable differences in a few days
Darn, I really wish this forum was more active... Soooo much to learn here... |

Hi Zippy:
First off, if you mix the psyllium, water and bentonite together, you are hydrating the clay. You're just not pre-hydrating it. The clay will hydrate with the mixed water, even if it does so in the stomach.
The reason that I recommend that people start with hydrated clay is that it is much gentler on the system. Even a teaspoonful of clay can cause a dramatic response with some individuals. Therefore, it is more comfortable to ease into clay use.
Thay way to take clay without water hydration is to take a chunk of clay ( or ball of clay ) and eat it without using any water at all.
Even using this method, the clay will hydrate at is passes through the digestive system.
Clay that is not hydrated does not share the electromagnetic/sorption properties of non-hydrated clay.

Jason, thanks so much for your reply on this.... I have been sooo much LESS diligent about drinking my PB Shakes with the clay pre-hydrated vs just hydrating it all together.... So knowng i can hydrate it just prior to drinking it will make me more apt to NOT put it off...
Thank You!! |
