Shalom!
I have been using Pascalite's calcium bentonite for over a year now. I usually use it internally, a small amount in baths, and for face masking. However, my neighbor was telling me about these large open sores on her feet and how she can barely walk. I just made a clay pack for her to put on for an hour or so; hoping, that it will pull out the infection and heal.
Digressing, I had already coincidentally hydrated some pascalite the night before, but I didn't want to use tap water. I ended up using some raw aloe and apple cider vinegar to hydrate it, and I let it charge in the sun all day.
I mean to ask you if the use of those instead of water would have been beneficial, or if it would have just weakened the clays effect.
I was also wondering about this water system in the grocery store. It uses tap water through carbon filtration, micron filtration, reverse osmosis, post-carbon filtration, and ultraviolet light. I wanted to know if that was a thorough enough filtration; and if so, is it equal to distillation, in that you would need to re-structure the source?
One last question, I can't really use the pascalite to bathe with because it is pricey, I was wondering what you would think of using this sodium bentonite:
Volclay KWK Food Grade Premium:
The industry gold standard in food grade sodium Bentonite granules. This product is processed to create a super-dispersing dust-free granule designed for use in the clarification of wine, juice, cider and vinegar. KWK efficiently removes suspended colloidal particles. A high-purity Bentonite, it has a high montmorillonite content, a large surface area, and contains low grit. KWK is effective at preventing cloudiness and removing heat-sensitive proteins. KWK is the fastest-dispersing wine-grade Bentonite available. Stryker, Inc.
