Hi Jason,

I just received some clay from American Colloid and wanted to verify the usage.

Volclay KWK 200 - is okay for internal use?

Volclay HPM - 20 - is just for external use?

I'm doing some experimentation and before I start, I want to ensure a safe approach. Have been using other clays with success and very interested to try these and some other new ones. Please let me know if that is correct usage and I will begin...thanks much!

Hi Athena:

I would only use HPM-20 for internal use, as it is a very pure bentonite.

Although I don't have any personal experience with the KWK 200, I would personally use it for clay baths and clay gel soap ( the HPM-20 can be used for baths as well ).

In my opinion, the ACM clays are not the best clays to use for cosmetics or poutlices... Although I have seen the Wyoming bentonite work in a "crunch".

Best Regards!

Jason,

I'm confused...here is what was stated under your buying clay category:

American Colloid HPM-20 is an excellent "agricultural grade" bentonite/montmorillonite that can be used as an all purpose clay. Amercian Colloid Volclay KWK 200 is an excellent food grade clay... One may be able to find a local source for these clays, otherwise one must purchase the clay in bulk. Remember, that in our experience ( yours may differ ), green sodium bentonites/montmorillonites are the best clays for a true colon cleansing.

Wouldn't KWK 200, a food grade clay be used internally? If not, what does food grade mean? Then...what would you recommend for poultice...Argiletz Green Ilite? Your response is greatly appreciated.

Hi -

I listed the KWK 200 for those who are interested, for whatever the reason, in a true food grade clay ( some people feel the need to ONLY ingest such products ). This is not my personal preference. I personally prefer a product that is as natural as possible, with the least amount of processing ( I had even forgotten that I had listed AC's KWK 200 on our buyers guide page ).

I haven't personally purchased the KWK-200. For my purposes, the HPM-20 is sufficient. Both of these clays should be from the same quarry. It's only the level of processing that is different.

Argiletz is excellent for poultices, as is TLC's clay. Many people also use the clays from Mountain Rose as well. You may find that you like AC for poultices.

I used American Colloid clay on the abdominal wound and skin graft sites treatement featured elswhere on the website.

Sorry for the confusion.

Kind Regards,

Hello Jason,

Thanks for your reply...I truly appreciate you describing the difference and/or intention of the food grade clay. I am eager to try this particular brand and perhaps will submit my results here.

On another note, I just want to say drinking clay literally saved my life over a year ago. I had suffered from severe complications of IBD and was bleeding (alot visibly) every day for almost a year. Long story short, I discovered clay and within a week of taking it a couple times daily, my hemmoraging had diminished and things starting slowly turning around. I was off all medications and at that point, just experimenting with the clay and couldn't believe the changes and results for the better that began to take place. Some people find this hard to believe, but it was the only protocol, so to speak, that literally changed and saved my life.

Now, I am eager to experiment with a couple clays and I have already! This site is so invaluable with information and guidance, thank you for your research and time putting this site together...it's certain to educate and transform many lives!

In gratitude,

Athena

Hi Athena:

Thank you for sharing your story. Yes, I see it all the time, week after week and year after year: Those who are in need of a good healing clay often experience life changing benefits.

Not everyone receives such miraculous results, but it is very clear that intuition often guides those in need to the discovery of healing clays.

Keep us to date with any experiences you have!

Best Regards,

Hi Jason,

Yes, I believe you have seen many, many cases of healing. And, it was indeed my intuition that led me to finding clay and even though I hadn't before heard of this possibility, I listened and thought I had nothing to lose...as my life was in the balance.

Just to clarify for any readers (my hope is that my experience can and will somehow benefit others), my condition was intestinal bleeding/ulcerated colon. If others who read this would like more details to benefit themselves or loved ones, I'm happy to share....even if the story contains some less-than-pretty images.

I continue to experiment with and spread the word about the tremendous healing properties of clay. And, I frequently give clay to my cat, as well.
I haven't tried the poultices, oddly enough, and plan to start that experiment soon as my liver is requesting it...I welcome any shared experiences.

Thanks and I will continue to post.....
