Hello to all!
I am writing this to share some curious - and controversial - feedback on the clay use which I received from one of my customers today.
The lady called me 2 weeks ago to ask if the Siberian clays could be used on her breasts which she said felt very lumpy and painful, especially before the periods. She is going through a menopause, and the lumps have appeared recently and are not only annoying, but worrying her as well - understandably.
I told her as anyone would - to go and see her doctor. She said she had seen her GP who had examined her and decided that the lumps were benign. She had been referred to a specialist. In the UK a specialist may take up to 9 months to see on the NHS (the state medical service used by most).
So the lady decided to take matters in her own hands. She bought some of the blue and yellow clay and said that she was going to use them for applications on the advice of a Moscow friend who is a doctor (she is Russian living in the UK).
She went on a very severe 10-day fasting regime (I am not sure which system she was following), where she was eating or drinking nothing - just having small sips of water.
She wrote a letter to me today saying that the lumps in the breasts have shrunk to a third of their original size. She had been applying the clays 3 times a day - warm poultices, as the doctor had told her. She says she prefers the yellow clay to blue, since she thinks it is milder.
The lady has also lost 10kg in weight in 10 days (I had tried to dissuade her from going on such a strict fasting regime - her weight was only 56kg at her height of 170cm. Now it is 46kg!). She is starting to drink melted ice water now, and is introducing small pots of live yogurt into her diet.
She says she attributes the shrinkage of the lumps largely to the clays she was using. I am not sure what it could be attributed to - her fasting, or the clay use, or both. I am just sharing what she has written to me.
This is in no way meant to say that anyone should start doing what she was doing. Breast lumps must be diagnosed as soon as possible. Self-treatment is a dangerous thing in such cases. However, I suspect that the lumps are probably benign.
It is a story which is just that - a story of a desperate woman who was put on a waiting list to see a specialist and trying to find a solution to a health problem, using clay and fasting, and getting positive results. I personally think and advocate medical diagnosis for any problem which has not been properly analysed, since peloids - being rich in biostimulants - can stimulate growth of tumours. But this result has been very interesting, and I have decided to share it with you.
Best wishes
