Hi -
Apple cider vinegar is a very popular additive with clay for facials and skin use.
However, using the ACV to change the PH level is not the same as finding clays that have a naturally lower PH. The mineral composition, and thus the effect on the skin, is quite different.
Many "earths" with a low ph are sulfurous, and thus the benefit over other clays is very superficial. One then needs to look at the mineral composition to determine where the low ph is coming from.
Most PURE clays used in cosmetics and natural medicine have a higher, alkaline PH. It's the mineral rich, "impure" clay minerals that are tend to be acidic ( I'm not stating that the pure clays are necessarily better, just noting the differences ).
