I like to know what other people do when they do not own a bathtub.

I know I can do foot baths, whole body mud packs, facial mudpacks as alternatives.

What i have in mind is to use a small plastic foldable swimming pool popular with kids that has enough depth to enable me to sit in it with clay water. What worries me is that the plastic chemicals might be leached by the clay.

Also will the clay leach the plastic chemicals in the first place?

My recommendation is to use a Vinyl liner, which may be less reactive than many of the rubber/plastics out there.

Now, if you are using ALOT of clay, and you change your clay out after use ( not leaving the clay in contact with the surface for days ), you won't be running any real risk of a health hazard.

More efficient than the swimming pools? Try acquiring a two person, seven foot inflatable raft ( or any in which you comfortably fit into to ). There is less surface area, which means that less clay is required to achieve the same effect.

That was useful information. Even I didn't knew there was any seven foot inflatable raft and have heard of only the small swimming pools typr rafts available for children. Will look out for a big raft in the market now as myself interested too. By the way Just would like to share that I might be more regular here as I've been using this forum www.globalthreads.com for some time and its a go dplace to share health rlated info. Maybe I could find this place interesting too.

somewhere Jason, you say fda grade plastic is ok but not tuppeware. I suppose any food grade plastic should be OK and tupperware have some that are food grade I think? Turquoise.

Hi -

Any food grade plastic SHOULD be ok, provided that nothing toxic has been stored in it. I don't have enough experience with food grade plastic to say **for sure** that substances do not leach into the plastic.
