"Ozone, my favorite one. Did Ozone for my Master's Degree. Did Ozone for my Ph.D. I did Ozone for the first five years out of school. I hope I never see Ozone ever again; it keeps following me around. Wonderful, very wonderful substance. It breaks down into oxygen. It doesn't leave any residuals. If you can get over the manufacturing difficulties and actually keeping the equipment up and running eight hours a day, great. The problem is worker exposure. You can have workers exposed to this; it's an OSHA hazard. You have to have good ventilation. The second part is people who sell you Ozone will promise you the world. It'll break down soil to carbon dioxide. Lies. Ozone will break everything down to a small chain of hydrocarbons, aldehydes, formaldehyde. And if you keep Ozonating the same batch of water, you're going to have a whole aldehyde or formaldehyde soup, and you're going to have a discharge problem on your hand. Very effective if used properly."
