I had some sodium bentonite clay (which we got for drilling purposes) tested for impurities. The result came back stating it was high in lead and some other undesirable things. Im thinking it wouldnt matter really because once hydrated, wouldnt the clay make these metal contaminants bio-unavailable binding them so to speak so they could do no harm to the body internally or externally. Seems to me, even if clay is not pharm grade it should still be inert so to speak if one were to take it internally or use it in a bath externally. Is my thinking flawed on this?
Great site

Greetings,
Most natural clays have small amounts of mineral oxides that would -- under different circumstances-- be considered undesirable. We know that clay holds and binds dangerous metals, including lead and arsenic. |
