Hi, my name is Dr. Robert Zeravica. I'm a Chiropractor here in Delights Hot Springs Resort in Tecopa, CA - 800-928-8808. I have a patient that has asked me if the Bentonite clay that Steve McNeal has here would be appropriate therapy for eczema?
---- ---- ----
Hi Robert!
I've only had one opportunity to test healing clay with Eczema. It was a small patch.
I hydrated the clay with isolated colloidal silver, and applied the clay colloid to the effected area about 1/4 inch thick, and covered it with a clean dressing. Occassionally, I changed the dressing ( before the clay dried ). Within four days, the patch was gone.
In this case, the silver combined with the clay is a key element.
Kind Regards,
Jason |

The first thing that needs to be addressed with acne is the PH level of the soft tissues of the body. The Saliva needs to be checked using ph strips, and anything measuring below 6.8 needs to be corrected.
1. Dietary changes
2. Drinking fresh lemon water
3. Drinking high PH water
Then, clay used topically can be very effective at permanently taking care of the condition.
When green clays are used often on the face, the skin may need to be naturally conditioned.
This can be done by using partially ozonated olive oil, or by using fully ozonated olive oil, provided that:
1. The ozonated oil is applied liberally for twenty minutes
2. Any surface oil, after 20 minutes, is wiped off with a clean cloth or paper towel.
CS mixed with clay is a good idea... However, since CS is mostly distilled water, it should be used at about 50%. Distilled water is a bit harsh for sensitive facial skin use. A quality, mineral-rich water should be used for the other 50% water used to hydrate the clay.
In addition, custom facial blends may be made for use after clay, using substances such as squalene, chitosan, and gentle oils... Provided that one doesn't leave these oils on the surface of the skin ( they degrade ). |

Hi Donna:
Sadly, I can no longer take telephone calls concerning our public service websites. Not all that long ago, what ended up happening was that I was sitting on the phone all day talking to people. It was very enjoyable, but not practical!
We have a document on using clay internally:
Using clay internally
Please also view this entire post.
A diet change? Yes, an improved diet will always impact any chronic condition, as long as the diet change is compatible with our metabolism.
Start off with 3-4-3-4 method with clay usage:
Take a tablespoonful of clay dissolved in quality water in the morning, for three days. Then pause for four days, then take the clay for 4 days and pause for three days... and continue.
Watch your body's response to the internal use of clay. Augment your internal clay with plenty of fresh lemon water.
Kind Regards, |

I'm very glad about finding this forum...
I've had quite a journey with clay....Bought 3 books on the subject including The Healing Power of Clay by Raymond Dextreit.
Anyway, I had very bad chronic eczema on my legs 5 years ago. I couldn't wear stockings or socks, my feet were septic, thick and encrusted.
I found out about French Green Argiletz clay and made a paste with olive oil and the clay + water and smeared it on my legs + feet then covered it with cling film all day and went to bed with it. Trousers on top of course.
That way I could go out. It took 4 months to heal and when it did it was very rapid - you could visibly see the skin heal each day. That was 3.5 years ago. My skin is still healed.
Fast forward to now...I've got dry chapped skin on the outside of my arms, they are blotchy chapped and red and very itchy. I'd actually forgotten about the clay...
Then I remembered, when I had cold sored earlier this year along my jawline, I used some Pascalite clay mixed with olive oil and put it on my skin all day. The sores were gone in a week.
I think I didn't want the clay to dry up my skin, but hey, it's dry anyway!!
So I'll be buying more French argiletz clay - the pink one in tubes. They have different colours for different types of skin - yellow, red, green, white, pink. Pink, white french clay is for sensitive dry skin.
Will keep you posted as to what happens to my skin...It looks like the end is in sight...Oh yes, it's also on my face and neck and across my upper back. I need RELIEF!! |

Thanks for the interesting post stella ; but could you please inform us of the approximate proportions ( as a percentage ) of clay/olive oil/ water that you use in treating your eczema and cold sores .

1 cup of white or green clay
3 tbps olive oil
Enough water to make a thick paste add bit by bit and stir until consistency is thick.
Hope this helps.
It took 4 years to reply!! |

Thanks for your reply ( at last ! ) Stella . I have 2 further questions , if you don't mind :
1) Do you add the olive oil first or the water first to the clay powder when making the clay preparation for your eczema ?
2) How is your skin doing now after using clay for what I presume is at least 4 years ?
Thanks once again for your help and hope to hear from you sooner this time ! |
