Hello everyone!
I've set aside this forum for TLC Clay, and I have personally invited the Staff of aboutclay.com to participate in it.
There are more than 10 different actual clay sources in the general area where this clay is mined ( in a 200 square mile radius ). To my knowledge, there are only two sources that were large enough to establish quarries and provide the clay commercially. I've been to all of the locations ( to my knowledge ), and the clay is so well preserved and pure that in reality, no milling at all is really required for use.
This clay is excellent for external use, bath use, internal and cosmetic use. Of the commercially available clays, this one is second to none.
However, please keep in mind that every clay known to have beneficial effects is different.
As an example, the TLC clay is a Calcium Sodium Montmorillonite; it still has 1.5% sodium, and thus it still has some of the swelling and surface area characteristics associated with sodium bentonites.
When I use this clay internally, especially for detoxification purposes, I mix it with air-purified sodium bentonite, and also with Argiletz Illite.
Adding the sodium bentonite seems to improve the the ability of the clay to work in the large intestines.
The individual user's opinion counts. Different people may have different predispositions. If one is interested or drawn to clay, don't be afraid to try the clays provided by other reputable sources.
