I have been up half the night trying to search what would bring an end to my 6 and 8 year old son's molluskum so forgive me if I ramble. My sons contracted it from a neighbor friend a couple of years ago and the 6 yo has about 15 on his face now. He is beginning to get self conscious about it and I am at my wit's end in finding a cure without taking him to have them frozen off. (which is the only "cure" I've been told there is) As soon as a couple disappear, more reappear... it's soooo contagious.

Until I found colloidal silver when reading last night, I had decided to lance them all to remove the seed and then use tea tree oil to prevent infection. Also, their immune system is always down because they have so many outside allergies. We have had both boys on Esberitox which is an amazing immune booster but I have also read silver is too.

Does anyone know if colloidal silver can help and if so, where and what to buy? I just came across a sight that states silver mixed with tea tree oil is working but I am so leary of all the sights out there. How do I know that it's for real? And all of the research I've found so far is contradictory so I am just confused. If it were me, I am willing to take chances. But I need more info to put something on my sons... especially my ds face. And should I give it to them as an immune booster?

This site contains a bit of hype, but their message is worth listening to ( hype because I can think of many, many better carries for silver than petroleum jelly and selling a $.75 product for $30.00 is outrageous ):

With this type of infection, the best way to deliver silver is with iontophoresis. I don't recommend this ( it's very advanced to do it properly ), but with Mollscum, it is the best way.

The next best way is to use green bentonite combined with isolated silver. Yes, you may add a touch of completely pure tea tree essential oil.

There will be a learning curve here, but it would be worth it for you:

Purchase a silver puppy CS generator to save money, and make your own isolated silver. ( see http://www.silvermedicine.org/products.html for recommended silver products ).

If you decide to use a silver salve, then please consider using the clay combined with silver first, and when not using this, then use the salve.

Applying silver and bentonite to the skin, of course, is completely safe.

That helps alot. Actually, it is greek to me but my husband says he understands what you said. I am newer to all of the "natural remedies" but prefer them. I was about to order the $40 petroleum jelly... glad I didn't! I'll be lurking around here from time to time to see what else I can learn.
