Hi Jason ~
I am currently on Day 4 of a two-week cleansing detox. Twice a day I ingest ground flaxseed and Bentonite, and during the day I eat vegan, avoiding dairy, wheat, and gluten. No alcohol, nicotine, or caffeine either. Although my diet is rich with lentils and other cleansing beans, to my dismay, no action in the bathroom yet! Is this normal? I've been considering drinking an Epsom salt solution to help the process; would this hinder the Bentonite?
Gratefully,
Girl Bloaty |

Hi!
Your experience is not uncommon. It indicates a sluggish digestive system. Even with a good clean diet, and regular cleansing, it might take six months to restore your bowels to "normal" working condition.
Epson salt will not hinder the cleansing.
When the digestive system truly starts to recover, clay use ( and other cleansing methods ) will not cause constipation; this will end.
Best Regards, |

If you know you're taking enough fiber into your diet and you're not getting the bowel movements you want, make absolutely sure you're drinking enough water!
It sounds simple enough, but many people neglect drinking water in their cleansing regimen. Water is the ultimate cleanser and it is an indispensable ally in your fight against toxins and disease.
The bentonite, psyillium seed husks, or other types of cleansing elements need to be hydrated as they move through the system sloughing off and/or adsorbing the nasty material you're trying to get rid of.
When it all comes out, it should be lubricated to the point of easy passing. I've taken bentonite clay without adequate hydration and it's not cool. It's literally like trying to pass clay! As I learned about its properties, I learned that bentonite loves water, as will your body!
Try this and experiment with different amounts of water until you get the proper balance and your cleansing experience will be infinitely rewarding! |
