Hi,
I'm just starting to get into taking clay internally.
You describe taking it as a magma and also mixed in water with psyllium. I am wondering which is better?
For the magma to be effective do you need to abstain from water for a period of time before and after taking it so that it remains in its magma state?
I have tried stirring a teaspoon of green clay powder into a glass of water and letting it sit overnight. Stirred it again and drank it in the morning. I felt quite sick in the stomach all day. I prepared another glass to take before dinner but stirred in a teaspoon of psyllium before taking it and I think it is sitting better in the stomach.
I am just about to get some Nature's Sunshine Products Hydrated Bentonite, do you know whether it is in the magma state?
(Sorry for all the questions!)
Thanks,
Jolon. |

Hi Jolon!
Listen to your body's response... Some people do not tolerate psyllium well, others tolerate bentonite much better with psyllium added.
It's better to start off with a clayish water to allow the body to adjust to clay use. When taking a thick clay gel or magma, it is good to wait awhile before ingesting food/water... But there is no 'harm' if this practice is not followed.
I'm not certain about Nature's Sunshine's hydrated bentonite. I'd imagine it would be a very thick colloidal clay suspension, but not quite in the full state of being a magma or thick gel.

| i'm confused i thought the only clay you should ingest is Edible Terramin, calcium montmorillonite? Not nessessarily their brand, but I have read that you should not eat bentonite?? |

| Montmorillonite is sodium bentonite clay and calcium bentonite clay is Pascalite so yes both can be taken internally. |
