Hi -- I wonder if someone can help me here with some symtpoms.
I have been taking Ca Bentonite clay, hydrated, internally for approximately 1.5 - 2 months at about 3 oz in the a.m. and 3 oz in the p.m.
Things started off fairly smooth and I was getting excellent results.
As of late I am getting more troubling symptoms and in particular right now I have noticed that I have put on 3-4 pounds overnight -- I'm retaining water -- the whites of my eyes were yellow today and my stool (sorry to be so descriptive) but it was green indicating the presence of bile.
So it seems my liver is stressed right now. I have a history of liver problems and actually the clay was helping spectacularly with my liver problems -- but I've had a couple of episodes like this and this one is particularly bad.
I am trying to figure out what caused this. I read that if you don't drink enough water, the clay can draw toxins and then release them -- possibly causing these current symptoms.
I had also decided to reduce my intake of hydrated clay due to some other symptoms.
I had also just read in Ran Knishinsky's book -- he describes clay like a snowball -- small and slow at first, then it picks up momentum and goes faster. Since all of a sudden I'm having more symptoms, I started cutting back -- 2 days ago I went to 1 oz, then nothing the next day until I started getting headaches and neck pains, so I took 2 oz and the pains went away.
So I feel caught in a bind here. I wasn't expecting this as most books I've read and health people I've talked to said it's totally safe.
Anyone have any insights?
Thanks
