This is a really nice forum. I hope it takes off!
I purchased this CS gen : http://www.cheap-zappers.com/order.html The gentleman who sold it to me has been very helpful, but I think he must be out of pocket now so I am hoping perhaps you can answer my questions.
I am not sure which rod is positive and which is negative. I've been using it for a few weeks and everything seemed fine. One rod would develop tarnish and THAT is the rod that I would see yellow whispies coming from. The OTHER rod would have bubbles coming off it and THAT is the rod that would get the gunk or beard, as I've seen it called. The last few batches, tho, things have been different. Sometimes I get no beard at all and it also appears that the yellow whispies are coming from the rod that usually gets the beard. I thought the positive rod made the whispies and the negative rod made the gunk. I've looked all over the web to try to get this figured out but I see conflicting info.
I am worried that I may have messed up the positive-negative thing somehow. Can you help me?
Thanks so much! |

Greetings!
The positive electrode is the electrode that tends to turn black.
However, if both of the silver rods sold with your machine are pure silver, then there really is no way to 'get them confused'.
Hope this helps!
