Hi -

Currently, I do not know of any company selling a highly versatile silver iontophoresis device.

The only units I've seen are units such as these:

I have specifications written out for an ideal unit, but I haven't yet been able to have someone engineer it.

what is the drawback to the device you mentioned?

on one of the silver web pages I saw a pic of one by silver puppy but it is not on thier website nor could i find an email address any idea on how to find it?

if not any idea how to build one? have you ever used or built one?

Hi -

The unit you are referring to was an experimental unit... The only one I have ever seen. I still have it in a box.

It was effective, but the amount of current this device used was too high. The use of excess current can easily result in tissue burning and/or localized argyria ( silver being deposited into the skin ).

To build one you simply need to find a way to precisely control the DC current between two silver electrodes, according to the specifications calculated by Dr. Robert O. Becker.

The site that you posted makes iontophoresis equipment, but not specifically SILVER iontophoresis.

So if i put CS or IS in the device to transport the silver would that be a silver ionsphosis device then or is the silver that becker used not colloidal or ionic silver.

I would think that transporting cs or is under the skin would create the same effect but its very possible i missed something in his process.

Hi Jdog:

The whole idea is that the electrodes, which are made of silver, actually transport silver ions in and below the tissue due to the MINUTE electrical current

A) Changing the permeability of the skin

and

B) due to the silver ions being pulled FROM the positive electrode TO the negative electrode via the "laws" of electrolysis.

Of course, Dr. Robert O. Becker DID have an advantage, as he was a surgeon. He could ( and did ) actually implant the silver electrodes ( or silver wire mesh in some cases ) by surgically inserting them into the body where they were needed.

The point that I would like to confirm is that our brief experimentations did confirm that subdermal infections COULD be addressed by applying silver electrodes to the surface of the skin, and applying a small amount of current.

Thanks I do understand the difference.

On that note if I used the method i mentioned....since it is the easiest one available...is there any reason why using traditional Iontophoresis ( not silver Iontophoresis ) with Collodial or ionic sliver would be dangerous even if it did not give the desired results?

Thanks so much info on this is truely hard to find...and the few responses I usually get people think i mean bob beck not becker lol.

I can't see how trying to use using traditional iontophoresis with silver would be dangerous...

I don't know how well it would work, but it would be interesting to see!
