I took 5 baths as directed with LL's Magnetic clay. During the first three, the water turned black (I assume from the clay binding to metals), and then for the last two, the clay remained its original light gray greenish color. On the LL website it said that the clay is not effective if it doesn't change color.
I know my overall metal load is pretty heavy, how can I draw out the toxins from my organs so they can be removed transdermally? Has anyone figured this out?
Thanks so much! Great forum! |

Alot of people enjoy LL's Baths, so I think that is excllent. However, I cannot speak for LL Clay, and we do have extensive experience with clay baths done very differently...
One must remember that clay works as a catalyst with the human body. That means, that the body is going to respond individually, based on what the body can handle.
For the worst cases, it may take one to two years to completely detox, even when one is doing everything correctly.
With our clay baths, a color change in the water is not relevant. The only way to tell if the clay is working as desired is by doing biweeky or monthly heavy metal testing, so that one can track the progress. At first, there should be a spike in the elimination ( and hence presence ) of heavy metals in the hair and urine. After adjusting, there should be a steady and slow decline in measured values, with an occasional spike.
We do our clay baths quite differently than LL.
First and foremost, we do not use sedimentary clays, which often contain small to medium amounts of lead, mercury, and other substances that very sensitive individuals may react to even if the substances are not in large quantities.
Second, we do not use herbs, which react violently and chemically to clays ( when used in raw form ).
Third, we use alot of clay, and alot of sea ingredients. We want to maximize the colloidal potential of clay, in particular the transducing properties, rather than the sorption properties. For us, it is all about energy, and very little of actual chemical action.
If you want to maximize your body's ability to purge and eliminate heavy metals from the body, you need to:
1. Alkalize the body... alkaline water, deep green alkaline foods.
2. Stimulate the body... Use spices in food such as cilantro, cayenne, etc.
3. Stimulate the lymphatic system - You can do this in-bath with heat and sea ingredients. You can do it outside of the bath with careful excercise.
4. Ionic mineral supplementation, transdermal and/or with your alkaline water. One must correct imbalances in Cal-Mag-Pot // Sodium in the body. This also can take time.
We've even gone so far as to use far infrared lights above the clay bath to increase the energy of the experience ( it was very inconvenient to do so, however ).
If you want to go further, then you can use advanced methods:
1. Detox the colon completely to prepare the body
2. Use transdermal ozone therapy to stimulate the body's cleansing ability
3. To short spurts of calorie limitation diet, followed by short spurts ( 2-3 days ) of master cleanses... but ONLY if your body is not too thin and you have a strong enough constitution.
Then, you can work on liver cleansing as well.
You can read further about our idea of a truly therapeutic clay bath on our site ( the pages on mercury toxicity and clay baths ), or you can see our Inland Sea Clay Bath Experience:
